When Renting Grip and Electric Equipment and Truck from Photon

Below you will find information on requirements for Insurance as well as Photon's stated rental policies


INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS

The following minimums must be maintained and shown on a certificate provided to PHOTON GRIP AND ELECTRIC LLC.

 

Commercial General Liability -

Occurrence Form | Limits

Automobile Physical Damage (Comprehensive & Collision for Hired Vehicles), on a blanket basis to any vehicles provided by PHOTON GRIP AND ELECTRIC LLC. The following other considerations must be made

  • Workers Compensation | As statutorily required

  • Property Coverage* | Replacement Cost Coverage on all Equipment Rented from PHOTON GRIP AND ELECTRIC LLC.*

In addition to the foregoing, this Certificate must contain:

  • a 30 day Notice of Cancellation (minimum)

  • Additional Insured wording

PHOTON GRIP AND ELECTRIC LLC. IS ADDED AS ADDITIONAL INSURED UNDER GENERAL AND AUTO LIABILITY AND AS LOSS PAYEE UNDER MISC. EQUIPMENT WITH RESPECT TO EQUIPMENT RENTED BY THE NAMED INSURED.

*Note: The limit of insurance for property is usually written on a per occurrence basis with a co-insurance requirement. It is essential that the limit of property coverage you carry equal the TOTAL of all the equipment. If your coverage is inadequate you will be responsible for the difference between the covered amount and the actual loss. This will be in addition to any applicable deductible. 


RENTAL POLICIES

Below are the policies for renting grip and electric equipment and/or the Truck from Photon.

1 | ALL EQUIPMENT MUST BE INSURED. A certificate of insurance is required prior to delivery of any equipment (no exceptions).

2 | Customer is liable for equipment and vehicles from the time they leave Photon, until they are returned and accounted for.

3 | Equipment should be returned in the same condition in which it was taken out. There will be an additional labor charge for cleaning and repacking equipment that is returned dirty, damaged or unpacked.

4 | Customer will be charged for missing, broken and damaged equipment. 5 Equipment rental rates: Daily or 4 day week. Longer term jobs are negotiable.

6 | All burned out bulbs must be returned to Photon. Broken or missing bulbs will be charged.

7 | All invoices are NET 30 DAYS WITH APPROVED CREDIT, unless prior arrangements are made. 

8 | Finance charges of 1.5% per month, or 18% per annum, will be assessed on all accounts beyond 30 days. 

9 | Photon may require equipment to be used by qualified personnel.

10 | While we are happy to recommend crew, we do not provide any payroll services. Crew people are the employees of the production company. The production company is responsible for any wages, fees, taxes, insurance, pension and welfare payments and employee expenses. 

11 | Acceptance of rented equipment constitutes acceptance of all terms and conditions.
